Program mentors are people who have experience of their own initiatives implementation and have passed a special training course. The most important task of a mentor is to support the participants’ learning process and the process of reflection. On the one hand, the relationships between a mentor and a participant are full of trust and intimacy, but, nevertheless, they remain at the professional level only. The main tools of mentor’s work are coaching methods, primarily open-ended questions, as well as counseling. A mentor helps a participant to understand his sources of resources and potential that he / she already has in solving the problems that have arisen. A mentor helps to define the goals and needs, but all the decisions and their consequences, in this case, are the responsibilities of the participants only.
